Lol - it was an "Elsan" toilet, similar to the ones you found in caravans in the 1970's. The chemical on it's own stank, but when mixed with "floaters" it became nasty.

I take a “loop the loop” would certainly be out of the question in one of those. Not a Dakota by any chance.
