I suppose in general the quality of long established products starts to tail off when the bean counters get involved. The tool choices at very reasonable prices, aimed mainly at the diyer are numerous nowadays, and some of them possibly are sold under Snap ON’s Blue Point banner, if they still have that range. I should imagine having needed top notch reliable tools in a professional capacity, you’ve noticed first hand, the decline in quality and longevity of a range of tool items besides Snap On. Nothing’s made to last I suppose, sadly.
