I just figured that at approaching 17 years old, although the mileage is only in the low 40’s, for peace of mind, I’d feel happier with them changed. The same reason I changed the clutch cable at 35k, although that would be a roadside fix if you had a spare.
Never did a throttle cable change on my gen1, do you need the carbs out to do it?
