- I'd say as long as you actually have it restricted with a legitimate restriction kit, have all the paperwork to say so, then you will be perfectly fine.
- You don't have legal obligation to tell the DVLA anything, or the police. But for ease of life, keep a laminated copy of the fitment invoice under the seat for when your pulled over.
