one of the bolts has a dowel sleeve to help align everything,fits together really well...happy with that 

That's what I was referring to when I said make sure it's all aligned before you do anything up 

Glad you got it sorted, with the proper O ring in and providing you've assembled everything correctly, I think you'll find the leak will have gone mate.
