Just realised I was looking in my Fazer 1000 manual. The 600 manual says they're 4mm new with a service limit of 3.5mm.

Aftermarket pads can destroy discs in quick time, some of the worst are EBC in my experience.  The best pads are OE but at £40 odd it puts people off but they work better and last longer, if their too rich for you I'd recommend SBS.

Obviously if your heavy braking all the time, even OE will cause accelerated wear.    Wink
