2002 Fazer dash lights reset when switching headlight to full beam

Thanks for your reply. I tried it only with engine off. I have the whole front of the bike dissasembled at the moment, can't try it now with engine running. I just got the bike a couple of weeks ago and have no idea what bulbs are in there but from the illumination they produce I suspect halogen. And yes it acts like the load gets too high for the battery to cope. However the battery was fully charged when I tried it. But it isn't new so could be worn out I will have to test the battery for capacity.

By engine running you mean idling or higher rpms?
