I've never tried Davida gauges but don't doubt what unfazed says about quality, since he uses them professionally.
That said, I used Morgan Carbtune gauges on all the Fazers I worked on and must have done 500 plus carb synchs without any of the sticking problems mentioned. I found the Carbtune more than accurate enough and easy to use, too.
I think you have to ask how many times a year you expect to use whichever gauge you choose to buy and weigh that against the cost and reported durability of each. For a DIY home mechanic, the Carbtune would be my choice.
