Hi fazersharp - many thanks for posting the pictures! I really like that! 8) 
It's got that characteristic tail hump shape of Sports bikes, while reducing the profile of the LONG Fazer seat.
Looks decent in those pictures, perhaps not so great in the flesh (as you say).
So that is a cowl that is covering the complete original Fazer rear fairing? - couldn't see any "joins" from that and the original, in your photos.
If you could point me at the (ebay) seller, I might be interested. :thumbup
