When I did a lot of touring I had a 1100 Honda Pan European on carbs,I had this for 5years then they brought out the 1300 fuel inj model which we had for 7years,the 13 was a far superior bike in everything except pick up from low revs,it was so much smoother on carbs I thought when we first had the 13 there was something wrong with it but the dealer said that's the trade off for fuel inj,you lose that low down smoothness for a slightly jerkier throttle action,but overall the advantages of fuel inj far outweigh carbs.Personally I'd rather have that control and milky smoothness of carbs,probably because I don't feel the need to teararse around, but what do I know ?
