this is a timely post. I run a cb1300 alongside the fazer thou and old Harley. I recently picked up a early 1300xjr sp (2004) for my brother in law. Big mistake. Its made me realise I dont like Fi at all nowadays, The cb is up for sale, and im looking for either a mint gen one or early xjr1300... :'( The Fi on the honda always felt ok, but after the different delivery on the xjr the honds feels like a on/off switch two up at low revs. Which I do a lot of nowadays.
