the Yamaha thing might be a goer. I had a spring come out of the back of the clutch on a 750 super ten years and years ago which locke the crank. No fault of mine, bike was four years old and out of warranty, but Yamaha agreed to pay 75% of the repair (labour and parts). Had the work done at a official Yamaha dealer, but it always leaked oil afterwards, so sold it on. Im thinking now noggys advice is probably the best in truth..
