Quote:The price of a new bike for me is now totally out of range and the ridiculous second hand prices are just getting beyond me also.Don't see me selling my FZS any time soon, in fact this may be the last bike I ever own. The only reason I can see to move on is the weight of the bike being a issue in the future with my back problems.PCP
Just wandering if the price of bikes will fall if and properly when the financial crisis hits us. Will this increase the price of the FZS or not?

I reckon new bike prices have risen about 20% since June 2016. Also importers are trying to hide the true cost. Gone is the free 600 mile service. Many now quote the sale price and not the on the road price. Anything now to hold back that ticket price.
This inevitably drags up used values. If we foc up and the economy nose dives, well new bike prices will rise further, used prices will rise and dealers will be going bust left right and centre.
Talking of dealers. Apparently 2018 was a good year. Maybe it was the good weather, but they bucked the price rises. I think 2019 could be a tough year for the trade.
