Here's another pic.
If you look at the side facing the camera there's a rectangular loop and, under that, there's a plastic "prong" which it appears to hold in place. There's also the same thing on the other side.
That's as well as the main clip which is on the right hand side of the image.
I have some WD40 Contact Cleaner which is supposed to dissolve the gunk that corrodes the contacts and I've tried squirting some of that around the sides of the plug, but I can't get it to move and I don't want to yank on the wires because, as Hugh Mungus says, pulling those out causes other problems.
I just wondered if there was a trick to it that I'd not figured out
