i have read an aluminium safe descaler has been used to good effect, dishwasher and washing machine descaler is the same stuff
but i really mean it has to be ALUMINIUM SAFE - if you know anyone that works in the kitchen / food prep industry they might be able to get there hands on it

i want to be out riding  in this sun aswell but im rebuilding my entire rear end and just got sent the wrong bolts and still waiting for a new brake disc (that was my fault as i bent it by dropping an engine hoist on it  :wall [size=78%])[/size]
