Taxing a bike/refund of tax

sold me bike today and got a Pan, it's my understanding that the tax ends at point of sale and you tell DVLA who will refund if applicable.

When you buy a vehicle, the tax or SORN doesn’t come with it. You’ll need to get new vehicle tax before using the vehicle.

You’ll need the reference number on your new keeper supplement (V5C/2).

Cancel vehicle tax and get a refund

Your vehicle tax is cancelled and you automatically get a refund when you tell DVLA that your vehicle has been:

    sold or transferred

Can't you do it through https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax ? Or is that the one that closes at 7pm?
