hard or soft luggage

If you need security then hard luggage, but that's more expensive than soft. If you're taking a pillion, that needs to be taken into consideration as not all hard pannier set ups are comfortable for pillions. Are you camping, or hotelling. It all makes a difference. I've been happy enough with a double bubble screen, but that's another can of worms as your height is a factor. What suits someone who's 5ft 10ins, might not be any good for a 6 foot plus rider.
