Whilst on the centre stand, I put it into gear and reved it abit and pulled in the clutch to check the rear wheel turns freely, unfortunately it stopped spinning fairly quickly, I know that the rear calipers have a tendancy to stick, but is there anything else I should look at?
I think youd be better off switching the negine off, putting the motor into neutral, and spinning the rear wheel by hand. Youll get a much better feel for anything thats loose or binding that way. Try holding the tyre with both hands at 180 degrees to each other, and rocking the wheel from side to side, to check for any play in the bearings/swingarm. You could alos flip the chain off by loosening the adjustment to see if a stiff chain is affecting the wheel. Mark the current setting with apencil before slackening to give e ref for refitting
