Trouble with vignettes is they have to be enforced, and for that you need people. Just look at the number of foreign cars and lorries avoiding the Dartford Tunnel charge. Is it enforced?
Soon all new bikes cars and lorries with have black boxes and GPS, and you will be charged based on where you travel, how far and at what time. Yet another reason for keeping an old Fazer  Smile
