Rainbow-walker hasn’t any personal details shown on his profile, nor posted much info other than some of the bikes he’s owned and that he was 47 earlier this year, I think his best course of action is just to not bother logging on here again if he’s lost interest in using the site.
Perhaps the facility to set password, IP addresses used and email to a null value would be a good idea. That would provide complete untraceability even in the event of the site being hacked.
I’ve been on other sites where deletion of a profile was taken to mean everything, including posts by that user, was erased. The result was that old threads became extremely confusing with loads of replies to things that were no longer visible. I’d rather not see that happen here.
