FZS1000 dying at 6500 revs

I had this problem on ride round the Pyrenees and went to a French mechanic. He prodded and poked around, scratched his head and then pulled out one of my cargo nets scrunched up under my seat. It was blocking the air intake. I think he called me some sort of idiot, but I don't speak French. Learnt my lesson. Don't jam as much as poss under the seat!
