I toured with my wife as pillion in July on the 600, journey was Cork, Rosslare, Ferry to France Cherbourg, Ducey (stayed 4 nights), Albert (Stayed 2 Nights), Maastricht (stayed 4 Nights). The return trip was in 660 miles 24 hours Maastricht, Calais, Ferry, Dover, Pembroke, Ferry, Rosslare,and back to Cork. 
No comfort issues of any sort just a great holiday, my wife is a regular traveler and enjoys it. Rear Suspension was jacked up a little to cater for the extra weight of the full Panniers.
