That's the exact same realisation i came to the day I took a brand new zx10r out. It was more frustrating than exciting and took more of my focus to stay at the speed limit than I was putting into riding safely. That was when I made the decision to get a more sensible bike..... and ended up with a 150hbp naked fz1 instead haha
I soon realised it doesnt need to be a sportsbike to be fast or fun. And after taking out a 2017 R6 (just to confirm my fears) I decided I never want to be a human pretzel again but i feel the hyper nakeds are the best of both worlds... at least until im old enough to wear a high vis jacket and buy a tourer anyway ??
