It's a bugger when that happens 
Dropped mine on the Port de la Bonaigua, a high pass in the Pyrenees, a few weeks ago - parked up in neutral...on a mountain pass...doh! Fortunately, only minor scuffs and a bent handlebar (which has actually made it more comfortable to ride!). Which is just as well, as I can't afford repairs either. Running on a strict budget now, to the point where any rides have to be very worth it, and carefully considered from a financial point of view. In fact, if I'm honest, I can't really afford to run a vehicle at all now, unless I can crack the problem of what the hell I'm going to do for work.
Been in this situation a few times in my life, and usually I'd just sell the bike and go without until things improve, but this time, I can't bring myself to sell the Fazer - it's the perfect set-up for me, and we've done too much together!
