Some further impressions from ownership...
Comfort: Tracer fine solo but a bit cramped 2 up although pillion pegs not as "extreme" as pure sports bikes,not as relaxing for pillion as Fazer which has more room & a better seat.
Overall finish: Will definitely require regular cleaning/applications of protective chemicals like ACF50 if you ride all year round-some of the fasteners are showing signs of discolouration @ 2000 miles use.
Havent needed to change front sprocket as built in gear position indicator tells me what the Fazer doesnt.
Fuel economy: 71mpg to date-I am not an exuberant rider these days!
Fuel warning light: Comes on far too soon.
Fitting of Kappa rear arms & plate: Really needed 3 hands for this job which required disconnecting indicator & rear no plate lamp leads under seat to then position mounting plate under rear "tray"-bit of a faff but looks tidy fitted.
Engine power: 74 bhp(quoted) is plenty for the chassis/suspension to cope with in standard form.Plenty of low down drive without revving the guts out of it.
Relaxed higher gear cruising but enough power to get past slow stuff without drama.
Value for money: I bought mine last autumn before the £600 price hike this year so £6345 OTR.
Accessories: I immediately fitted an R&G radiator protector then mushroom bobbins to swing arm for chain maintenance etc(There is no centre stand which is a shame). Have also fitted adjustable clutch/brake levers.
Am I pleased with the bike? Very much so but IT IS NOT A FAZER so dont really think direct comparisons in order.
It is an extremely good all rounder and has the "fun factor" for me so am more than happy with it.
