What a rush that was, more exiting than riding our bikes tentatively in the pissing rain.
Couldn't see anything at one point so had to scramble on through feeling our way against the rock face.
It was like having a violent shower with strong vortexes of wind blowing you about and in the back of your mind was the thought that you could be sucked off ( wishful thinking perhaps) or that the path had been washed away. Obviously we got soaking wet but I'd had the insight to wear my waterproof trousers and coat so got away with it to a point.
That is until we had to go back behind it to get out. Due to the amount of rainfall we were getting the flow of water had visibly increased in the time we had been in the cave and our mad dash back through was even more intense.
