If the carbs are out of balance then it will just run rough, which is what i'm hearing.
It's not doing any harm, but you're just not getting the best out of the bike.
Once you have them balanced you'll be pleasantly surprised by the difference in running.
It's not a major job at all, but you need to make sure the air filter is in good nick, and do a quick TPS check to make sure the needle's in the right position on the rev counter at 5000rpm.
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.
