If you go on the MR2 Roadsters Club forum they will not even allow you to write 'MX5' they overwrite it with 'A car with the engine in the wrong place' lol!
No seriously the MX5 has proved itself over many years and the earlier one were by far the best, the later ones suffer from awful tin worm issues.
I actually owned one for 24 hours before taking it back to the garage I purchased it from, and, got a full refund because they MOTed it and it was not fit to be on the road with the rust that was in the doubled skinned chassis along its full length both sides.
So my experience of MX5's is not conducive to me getting another, plus as stated earlier I don't want to be seen in a whore and there is no point in having a soft top car if you have to wear a balaclava all the foccing time. :rollin :rollin :rollin [/size][/size]
