The drain holes may be clear now, but the damage in the pictures looks pretty much exactly what I would expect if the plugs were left sitting in a puddle of salty water on a regular basis.
Service manual calls for "Check condition" and "Clean and regap" every 10,000km, looks like you have some serious cleaning to do.
