I think, like a lot of things it all depends on how much someone wants whatever's for sale. How many "minters" do you let go because they're perceived to be too expensive, before something more "reasonably" priced comes along, if at all. Like anything the older stuff gets a clean example gets harder to find. Last week I read in MCN that a 1968 Velocette Venom Thruxton, unrestored, went for just short of 24 and a half grand. Someone had one, someone wanted one and the rest is history.
