you seem to forget how shit British rail was back in the 70s , fully nationalised and truly shite and neglected by all governments left or right they all took the money and put none of back in , probably used it to prop up all the other failed, money losing nationalised industries.
However how can you strike over a practice that has been deemed as safe by the independent rail inspectorate, AND is in use on other southern services AND will not mean any redundancies. Sounds like the public getting fucked over by the unions and southern but Corbyn should be pushing the unions and southern for resolution not revolution I'm sure the commuters will take comfort that comrade corbyn is there standing side by side with his militant  brothers and union puppeteers round a hot brazier drinking tea while they're struggling to get to work..to pay taxes to pay him that £138,000 a year plus expenses
