Yep, that's pretty much it, although you ideally need a deep offset ring spanner.
I bought one specifically just for that job.
Make sure you screw in at the lever end so you can adjust at the bottom, then tweak at the top afterwards.
If you get a new cable, don't buy any old shit, get a proper Yamaha one.
