Good post regarding the Triton/Tribsa from the cafe racer era.Compulsory look up Chelsea Bridge in the 60's.Managed to keep riding my Rocket Goldie replica until I was 54,when enough was enough.Mind you at the time it made my old Fireblade feel like sitting in an armchair by comparison.A few other specials were Norvin, Trifield(500 5TA in a Crusader frame) and a Grumph(3TA or 5TA in a Greeves frame). That made a brilliant pre '65 trials bike.Happy Days.

Cool another old Fart by the sound of it, glad its not just me.
Ahh! The 1960's, Chelsea Bridge days/or nights.

I loved being a member of the 59 Club there was areal comradery between members, you pick a fight with one you just picked a fight with a 100. The Vicar who used to run the club had these principles if you can avoid trouble avoid it for the name of the club.
If the trouble was unavoidable, as it sometimes was, Leather Jacket off no Club badges showing.
The 59 Club was founded in Hackney Wick East London in 1962, 2nd April the day after April Fools day, it started out as a youth club but the 59 Motor Cycle Club was born out of it, and formed a couple of years later, and club members nights (Sats) were held at Eaton Mission that’s where I used to go. The 59 club is still running has members on the four corners of the Globe (Where did that stupid expression come from)
The clubs offices are now in Plaistow, East London.I am still a member and get the newsletters and stuff but don’t go up any more.
I am now living down by the South Coast, almost, and don’t relish a trip into East London on a Saturday evening. (To Old)
Your right though robo it was great fun going to THE BRIDGE on a Saturday nights and watching some of the guys screwing the nuts out of their Norton Dommy 88’s and 99’s the occasional Ariel Arrow and the Crusader Sports, Clipper and Continental’s, not forgetting the Vinnys, AJS, Matchless and the original Bullets.
Ahhh! Some of you old boys will be saying, but the truth be told, most of the bikes were shite, unreliable, uncomfortable and vibrated like my wifes v……… No! Forget I mentioned that, and covered your Levis with oil.
I had a 250cc Ambassador then, twin pot stroker, Villiers 2T lump with the top end of just about 80mph maybe 82 under the right conditions, to get any more out of it would have meant a trip to Beachy Head, Doh!
'The Good Old Days' my arse, and talking of my arse, I enjoyed the crack picture but that really is an imitation Builders Crack.
The real mccoy to follow if its still on my puter, If not I will get the Mrs to take it again. :eek
