what did you do with your fazer today ?

Took it out for a quick spin to warm things up for a long overdue change of engine oil and immediately realised I'd forgotten to put earplugs in.
Christ, what a din! The gearchange sounds like someone lobbing a lump hammer into a box of spanners, then there's a crappy ill-fitting Motad exhaust, a chain that's done 35,000 miles and an engine on about 3 times that… so perhaps it's not surprising.
It still starts on the button and is as keen as ever to put points on my licence so I can't complain. I bought it 18 years ago today and have yet to find anything that looks likely to be a better all-rounder.
