Don't rule out water in the tank though either, my mate rode a Fazer all the way back from Germany somehow in the pissing rain to London then the bike wouldn't even start the next day.
Think he had at least a pint of water in the tank when a mechanic looked at it.
You can drain the carbs and see what comes out, if there's water then that will come out first, but beware the drain screws are very soft metal so you need to be careful and use a very good fitting screwdriver.
I wouldn't have thought it'll be a blocked jet or carb issue because that would be constant rather than intermittent in rainy weather.
