Liz and I cycled the British Heart Foundation 50 mile Cotswolds ride yesterday with a few friends from Yorkshire.
Probably didn't help spending Saturday night in the pub (had to get up at 5.30 Sunday morning to get down to Cheltenham ready for an 8 o'clock start to the ride), but the ride was great and the weather was fantastic. A few nice hills (no nasty ones) and lots of quiet roads.
Weekend after next we do our annual Coast to Coast cycle ride (150 miles approx) - we have 30 riders with us and hope to raise a load of money for Macmillan Cancer Support - will post up a Just Giving link, hoping for a bit of support from you guys on here. This is our ninth consecutive year of organising and doing this ride - especially poignant as we've lost 3 family members to cancer in the last 18 months and Liz has a 30 yr old friend going through chemo right now.
