I did about 150 miles on the Striple today, which is much more realistic for it if I don't want to end up in pain :lol Route was Alston, Hexham, Stanhope, Middleton and home. This is the Triumph's proper hunting ground from now on I think. Absolutely gorgeous weather today![]()
Stopped at Derwent Reservoir:
And then got all arty-farty with the camera :lol
And it's nice to enjoy some complete silence for a while:
Especially after the aural battering this bike subjects me to :lol I love it, like a symphony with the pipe, the transmission whine and the roar from the air box; it all builds to a howling crescendo when you wind it on, but by foc, it's deafening!
Make sure you do a run from Alston down to Barnard Castle along the B6278 - a lovely toad for the Striple. AND also, cut across from Middleton to Brough, another awesome but of road for the Striple (crested corners for leaned over corner exit power wheelies) - just watch for the sheep.
