Adjusting TPS

Are you disconnecting/connecting with the ignition ON?  If so, that's probably the issue.

Ignition OFF, disconnect TPS, Ignition ON, then reconnect.

Hi Mike,  I was doing in wrong. Pats site clearly says turn ignition on, disconnect TPS reconnect then reconnect TPS, the REC counter now shows TPS adjustment mode. It's a bit of a bugger because I need to take the tank cover off and lift tank etc. to get at connector.

Thanks for the heads up. Might have saved me changing the TPS.
