I changed my OEM one at 15k and never noticed any change in performance.
After buying the oil and cleaning the K and N, dropping on my patio then cleaning that oil up then getting it off my hands and clothes and the whole job taking 5 hours, I will just stick to swapping with a new dry and clean OEM.
If you do 1000s of miles a year and saving money is a priority than maybe the K and N
