Think you've got it spot on......if it wasn't for the bars I'd be having a look at the Tracer. My CBF does all my 100 mile into/out of London commuting - literally can't fault it for total practicality. The Tiger I used to use has long been confined to a bit of old school riding experience (love the triple sound) and slow restoration. The Fazer is my back up commuter and weekend smiler. Suppose it all depends on how Positron uses the bike aside from work.
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.
