Best way to set the chain tension is to put bike on centrestand and press chain up at the midpoint of the lower chain run. The chain should just touch the chain guide. Obviously, you do this with the tightest section of chain in that position. Rotate the chain several times to be sure you've identified this section.
Too slack is preferable to too tight. The Fazer runs more chain slack than many bikes so don't be tempted to overtighten it based on past experience.
