600 Fazer for my Father in Law, opinions please.

At 65000 miles the engine paint would've been pretty flakey, so, like me as well, they've probably just given it a spray/paint job to tidy it up.
I've painted my fins too, just because i prefer the look, not because i'm trying to hide anything sinister.


Take a torch, see if the sprocket nut's been upgraded out of interest, listen for cam chain noise, even flick through the service history and see what's been done if that's possible.


There is always the small chance that they weren't a regular on here, so things like upgraded brake lines which is generally a standard mod for us just simply may not have been known about or even needed. Some people are quite content and have the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude.


At that mileage his original shock would've definitely been knackered and could've been a shop recommendation.


Side panels are easy enough to get.


You'll probably get a better idea up closer anyway, but it's still a 13yr old bike so it's not gonna be mint for that kind of money anyway.
