I am currently using 300V in my gen 1 1000.
I tend to use my brothers (racing) leftovers and he switched to 300V earlier last year. He was suffering from engine failures caused by (I can't remember exactly but was either) crank journals or big ends on his YZF - it happened a few times in close succession. He is friends with Neil Spalding who suggested using 300V as it was the best on the market and since using it he hasn't had a single issue. Cured the problem.
I use his leftovers as they are free
and thus been using 300V for the last 12 months or so. I was using Pro 4 before, you can't tell any difference between them though.
To be honest I don't think it really makes any difference for street use because your not stressing the engine to the extremes no matter how hard you think you are riding.
