We had new Labour here in the UK for 13 years. When they took over the economy was in the Black. When they were voted out the country was practically bankrupt.
The Conservatives may not be the dogs bollocks but I trust them more with the economy than the last lot or for that matter Jeremy Corbyn. Why should I have worked hard all my life just to let some socialist government take all my savings and tax me to the hilt to pay out benefits to workshy scroungers.
I am not against a Welfare state and do believe in helping others less fortunate than myself.
But people need to realise that the welfare state is a life line and not a life style.
If I had my way anyone who is fit and able but unemployed would be invited to join projects within the community, such as improving the local environment, be that street cleaning , gardening services for the elderly, city/town parks etc! Note I did say invited too , they would need a dam good excuse for not wanting to do these tasks.
