A couple of suggestions:
1) Get a garage to put a Voltage Drop Tester on the battery. I had similar problems with the engine turning over but not firing, even though the volts seemed ok. It turned out one of the cells on the battery had died due to a faulty regulator/ rectifier so it wasn't pushing out enough amps. If so, it's new battery time.
2) If that doesn't work, det a multi-meter and work your way around the components checking the voltage and looking for unexpected drops. Start with the probes on the +ve and -ve terminals of the battery, then (leaving one on the +ve terminal) trace the wiring connections to see if there's a dodgy earth somewhere.
