If she is planning to do work from home that would normally be done in the office, the company should provide the tools to do it.
For email, yes Outlook is great but unless she as a company provided system, she wont have all he company email available at home.

There is no chance of the company providing the tools as we think they will say it should be done in the office, which it can but always takes 3 times as long due to interruptions, the idea is to take a little pressure off work by doing some at home. (we are not talking about any normal company )
She has a work email address that she can email things across to from home with outlook
