+1 for using the moby. I've still got the classic AA big road atlas Britain in the car, still comes in handy- even though it has a paper based interface!  :lol  Seriously it depends what you want to do, If you're doing a big european tour you probably want to shell out for a Garmin Zumo or similar.
The market for Sat Nav's is in decline as they are now incorporated as standard kit in most new cars. I expect the price will decline over the next few years.
Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.
