Fazer 8 mpg and range

after a weekend away. traveling back from west wales to home approx 130 miles I got back with 1 bar left on the fuel gauge. My route was mainly A roads, I was still running it in so I wasn't screaming the engine but I wasn't sticking to the running in recommendations either. mines not the best on fuel compared to other bikes I've had.
