This is why i stripped my 600 in the end...although more for self gratification....and it was time intensive....but i got a more realistic return by doing it.....such a shame though.....im guessing you dont have anywhere to store it for a year or so....and that you need the money....again like i was.
Only machines and money though.....youll enjoy riding different bikes.......i went to the FZ1....and now ive gone to the TRX fighter......do i miss the 600...yes i do........but before i had crashed it........but if i had the space....and money id have a nice 600 as a second bike.....although im sorry to say it that the power delivery on the 600 was good it doesnt exactly excite me......but it is a very nimble bike.
Anyway there i go again :uhuh
If you have to get rid then i say go with the trade in....although id just take it now and do it without any messing as itll lessen the pain.....youll be too busy having fun to worry about what money you could have made back............or wait until next season.

Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
