The best one is one that has been well looked after and maintained by someone who knows what they are doing and ideally has been Ivanised and fitted with a replacement shock. Go for condition over age, i.e. an older better looked after bike would be a better purchase than a newer tattier one. Don't be put off by higher mileage, as long as the bike has been well looked after this shouldn't be an issue. Check up on EXUP valve maintenance on pats site - http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/exupmaintenance.html and quiz the seller on how often they serviced the valve and what this consisted of, if they can't demonstrate a good understanding of this then walk away and find a bike that's been properly looked after. Don't buy the first one you see unless your 100% sure about your purchase and keep an eye on the for sale section of these forums.
